Objectives

To develop a UK wide accreditation network to:

  • Identify best practice and minimum standards in the administration of ECT.

  • Accredit clinics which meet standards as judged through a self-review process culminating in a peer-review visit.

  • Co-ordinate information sharing between clinics and practitioners.

Scope and focus of programme Electroconvulsive therapy clinics in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
